The Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® has established a charitable fund called the “Hutch Fund”, named in memory of Richard L. Hutchinson, an active and devoted member of SAAR for over 27 years.  Please read about Hutch in the enclosed attachment.  The “Hutch Fund” was founded by the SAAR Board of Directors for the benefit of SAAR members as a means of reaching out to our members in a time of crisis.  We have enclosed the history, mission, and administration of the Hutch Fund which will provide information about making a tax deductible gift to the fund. 

On May 10, 2006, STAAR NIGHT was born!  This was an exciting inaugural fundraiser event for the Hutch Fund, held at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts.  This coming year on May 1, 2007, the curtain will go up again!  Many talented members of SAAR, whom we all know as professionals in the real estate industry, will be performing a fantastic show of music, dance, comedy, and novelty acts!  Since the inaugural STAAR NIGHT, the interest and enthusiasm expressed by all who attended this year’s performance, will be attending once again, so we’re off to a great start!

The success of STAAR NIGHT was important for all of the right reasons.  The Hutch Fund is now ready to help meet critical needs of SAAR members when they occur.  As an affiliate, member, or corporate donor, your monetary contribution would be greatly appreciated.  All gifts are tax deductible through the 501 (C) 3 status of the Arizona REALTORS® Disaster Assistance Foundation (ARDAF), which holds all monies donated to the Hutch Fund.  The levels of support and donation details are enclosed.  If you are interested in our cause and would prefer to give an “in kind” donation, please contact me directly.

The mission of the Hutch Fund is to be available in time of need, to care, to understand the real world challenges in the life of one of our own members during a very difficult time…and then to help provide the most appropriate assistance.
